After a 4 year hiatus, the Head of the Harbor returns! Come watch teams from around the region compete.

SCHEDULE:

SATURDAY

2 -5p - Course open for practice for visiting teams.

SUNDAY

6:30a - Teams arrive. Coach Kaitz -Hand out bow numbers to teams.

7:00 - 7:15a - Coach and Coxswain meeting- Coach Kaitz and Head Referee

7:20a - First crews launch (men's varsity 8's)

8:00a - First race, other crews launching

8:20a - Retrieve boats from first race, continue launching boats for ensuing races

8:30a - 8:50a - Break.

8:50a - Launch 4's for first race after break, men's varsity 4's

9:15a - Round 2 of racing, 4's

10:00a - Racing ends

10:00a - 10:30a - Wash, derig and load boats

Spectators can view the launching docks, racing and finish line from the Viewing Pier south of the launching docks.

Head of the Lagoon

The Foster City Lagoon is an ideal venue for competitive racing. It is protected from wind, and free from currents and powerboats. The gently curving 5-kilometer course is carefully buoyed and marked to make it interesting, safe and easy to navigate. We can almost guarantee perfect racing conditions!

SPECTATORS: there will be no access to the launching and docking site by spectators. Only rowers and coaches with wristbands. The best place to watch the regatta is right in front of, or underneath, the Shell Blvd. bridge. Catamaran Park. 475-499 Catamaran St. Foster City, CA 94404
