Parent FAQs

How can my student join the team?

They can contact us here. There is no experience needed, most of our current team started as walk-ons and developed into the competitive and close knit crew they are today.

Where can I see the team race?

Please see the team’s race schedule. We have races locally, regionally and nationally.

How can I help the team?

Our team is nothing without our parent network. Your support is appreciated.

Volunteer at a race. Whether you live local to Los Angeles or near the location of other races, the team always loves seeing parents. Volunteering at a race to man the team food tent, is extremely helpful, as it frees up the coaching staff to coach.

Make a donation. Most families are not local to LA and find it easiest to support the team by sponsoring a team dinner or the race day food tent.

Plan events. The crew team is a student run club. There are often times when students are working hard at school along with a rigorous training schedule and simply don’t have the bandwidth the plan an event, such as an end-of-season party. If you have such time/talents.

I’d love to know more of what the team is up to. How can I do this?

Connect with the team’s parent liaison by filling out the form below.

In order to keep parents in the loop, the Parent Liaison serves on the Alumni Board and keeps in contact with the team captain and head coach. Throughout the year, the parent liaison sends updates on the team’s activities, communicating more frequently on races weekends regarding ways to help support the team and how to watch them race.
