
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – PAC-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen today announced
USC Oarsman Alex Boone has been named to the PAC-10 All-Conference Rowing
team.
A senior majoring in Political Science, Alex Boone first earned a seat
in the 2007 USC Varsity Eight in his second year of rowing for the Trojan
Navy and cemented his position in 2008.
Boone, who will begin graduate studies in Law this Autumn, was also
named to the PAC-10 All-Academic First team. Joining Boone on the PAC-10
All-Academic teams are following Trojans:

To be eligible for selection to an academic team, a student-athlete
must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a
starter or substitute of significant contribution.
USC Crew Board chairman Jack Schumacher ‘54 said he was pleased
with the academic performances of this year’s Trojan Navy. “Our
oarsmen performed outstanding in the classroom this year and that fulfills
a big priority of our program,” he said.
