Meet and form boats at 9am
Racing from 10-11am
Boathouse naming, dedication at 11:30am

Head of the Harbor – November 16, 2014

Good news – A very talented coxswain just joined the Men’s Crew (she previously cox’d for USC Women’s Rowing).

More good news – Another guy join the team last week (we are now at 39).  We expect to recruit another 10-15 oarsmen through spring orientation.

Our next race is the Head of the Harbor at the USC boathouse on Nov. 16th. Come and cheer on our two varsity and two novice boats!

Directions to the boathouse from USC:
Take 110 South (pass 105 and 405 freeways).
Exit “C” Street.
Make a RIGHT at the stop sign at “Figueroa”.
Make a LEFT on “Harry Bridges”.
Make a RIGHT on “Avalon”.
Make a LEFT on “Water Street”.
Make a RIGHT on “Yacht St”.
The boathouse is on the left past the fire station.

Naples Island Collegiate Rowing Challenge – November 1-2, 2014

Dear USC Crew Supporters:

Last weekend we send two (2) varsity “eights” and two (2) novice “eights” to Lake Natoma in Sacramento to race in the Head of the American (River) regatta.  The results were fantastic!

Varsity 8 – 3rd (of 19) racing the “Jack Schumacher”,
2nd Varsity 8 – 11th (of 19),

Novice 8 – 4th (of 15),
2nd Novice – 9th (of 15)

These guys are fast!  We now have 39 oarsmen training 6 days a week at the boathouse in San Pedro.

This weekend (November 1st and 2nd, 2014) the USC Men’s Crew boats will race in the
Naples Island Collegiate Rowing Challenge.
